The prequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, that features the entirety of Gotham, which is smaller than a part of Gotham (in Arkham City) for some reason. Arkham Origins is generally regarded as the weakest of the Arkham franchise and I'd tend to agree with that sentiment. With that being said, it is still a very enjoyable game, but if you're looking for a meaningful expansion of the Arkham franchise, then you're looking in the wrong place.

Awesome game. A must play for any fans of the DC universe, or anyone looking for a good action/adventure title to waste a ton of their life in. The rest of the series is just as good, so if you like this one go buy the rest too. This title differs from the rest in the series somewhat, as it's buggy as hell. I once had an issue that put the last riddler informant permanently out of reach and unable to respawn, so I never finished that questline. These issues usually aren't that big of an issue, so I won't give this game a thumbs down just for that, but watch out for issues and back up your saves often.

When i played this game on console when it first came out i was frustrated because it wasn't nearly as polished as Arkham city or Asylum.

but some time later when i got it on PC and gave it another shot i find myself enjoying the game much more. While it's still not as good of quality as the other Arkham games Origins stands on its own feet pretty well and does a good job of showing batman in the earlier stages of his career.

You get to encounter plenty of the villian roster here including Black mask, penguin and Bane. As well as some enemies that aren't usually in batman's gallery such as Deathstroke.

The devs also did a nice job throwing in some new enemy types weve never seen before such as martial artists and Venom users which mixes things up a bit in combat

I never tried the multiplayer component though i heard it was meh and its dead now anyway so moot point there.

All in all id say get it if you like batman and are a fan of the Arkham games and their playstyle.

Highly underrated game that wasn't well received originally due to technical issues that were patched and fixed. A great starting point for any batman fan and has many unique gadgets which allow for cool takedowns. 9/10

Was one of my favs when I originally completed it but after recently replaying both Arkham Asylum, City and Origins, this reminded me of how much more polished the combat system is. For one you don't get hit mid animation so much. A lot of what Arham Origins did right too was what was imported into Arkham Knight in this area.
The shock gloves are one of Batman's best gadgets in Origins and the Cold Cold Heart DLC a great episode about Mr Freeze.

I luv the intensity of Batman in this. The boss battles were full on and I'd have to say unmatched.

If you're a Batman fan, make sure you don't miss this entry in the Batman Universe, this is as good as any of the main Arkham entries.

    8.5/10

Better than Asylum, not as good as City.

As an origins story, the plot does justice to the Batman universe and as a prequel to Arkham Asylum. The fight mechanism is similar to all games in the franchise but the boss fights are taken up a notch and are made as unique to each super villain as possible. The detective sequences wherein Batman has to find clues and understand what happened at a crime scene are also much more fun than in the previous games, this time making it slightly more engaging. The plot thins a bit when entering the killing all the assassins part just because they were paid to kill Batman. Bit repetitive but the fights are really cool, so this can slide.

All in all, a pretty damn good game.

Although Troy Baker did a pretty good job as the voice actor for the Joker, many sequences will show you why Mark Hamill is undeniable the best man for the job.

Batman: Arkham Origins delivered fun gameplay with enchanced or better controls of combat system. It has beautiful graphics with DX11-Enabled which you should turned it on to get better scenery, if your settings has DirectX 11. Last but not least, the storyline! The storyline deliver everything about Bruce Wayne becoming less-refined Batman and the first event where Batman encountered Joker. I give nine out of ten!

A very beautiful game with a great story. The game, played from a third-person perspective, focuses on Batman's combat and stealth abilities, detective skills, and gadgets for combat and exploration.Aside from the main story, Batman can help the police deal with crimes, and confront other supervillains terrorizing the city. Arkham Origins introduces the ability for Batman to virtually recreate crimes, allowing him to investigate the scene and identify the culprit. The game is the first in the series with multiplayer capability. WB Games Montréal took over development duties for Arkham Origins from series creators Rocksteady Studios.

Why did the Police hate Batman?

I mean Batman is only guilty of...
    -Assault
    -Breaking and entering
    -Trespassing
    -Theft
    -Tampering with evidence
    -Obstruction of justice
    -Resisting arrest
    -Assault of an officer
    -Property damage (public and private)
    -Failure to report a crime
    -Hacking
    -Wire fraud
-Money laundering (to cover up how he could afford all that ♥♥♥♥ in the batcave)
    -Driving an unregistered vehicle
    -Reckless driving
    -Flying in restricted airspace
    -Building without a permit
-Endangering the welfare of a minor

While this title in the Arkham series dosent adhere to the visual standards set by Asylum and City, it is still an enjoyable edition to the franchise.

    Pros:
    - Intresting Story
    - Excellent voice acting
    - Has replayability value
    - Lots to do, map is filled with network relays, datapacks, informants and sidemissions
    - Boss battles are some of the best in the series
    - Added the Batcave (Finally!)
    - Alfred
    Cons:
    - Half of the map was made with assets reused from Arkham City and is fairly bland
    - Not even close to as detailed as the previous games
    - Far too many bugs
    - Combat is decent but has a fair amount of kinks
    - Fails to innovate and set itself apart Arkham City

Very similar mechanics to Arkham City, but they're pieces that can be replayed and still enjoyed. Loved the line up of villains, even if a few vital ones were missing.

If you're a fan of the Arkham games, it's certainly worth the time.

Unfortunately, this is the worst of the first three Batman games. Still recommended, but ONLY play this if you want more of Asylum and City. If you're already full by the end of City this will make your stomach burst and bleed internally.

I really liked all the Batman games that Rocksteady have develop so far.
The story of the game as you play it is great, the fighting mechanic is 10/10,
I've encounter one or two glitches so far which I can get stuck behind a wall or a barrel,
but the checkpoints of the game are very common, so you can just restart on a really close point.
But havent experience any other problems so far.
