The game is fantasitc, same flavor as XCOM 1, even bigger and better.

However the performance is sooooooooooooo bad. I don't know why this game requires so much computing power with graphics like this.

I understand that Firaxis was busying with CIV 6. Since now CIV is released, would you kindly look into this issue and release a new patch?

    > See tall building

    > Move my sniper to the top of the tall building

    > Feel quite intelligent and satisfied

    > Sniper spots innocent civilian bystander

    > Innocent civilian bystander spots sniper

    > Innocent civilian bystander morphs into a faceless one

    > Innocent civilian bystander is not innocent anymore

    > $#@*@@*$$##$*

    > Realize rest of the squad is not on overwatch

    > $#@*@@*$$##$*

    > Faceless one swipes at sniper

    > MISSES!!!

    > Hits tall building instead

    > Tall building is not a strong building

    > Tall building collapses

    > Sniper is not a strong sniper either

The barrel of the soldier's gun is IN the Sectoid's MOUTH.
    65% chance to hit.

    Your hit-chance is above 75%.
    Guaranteed miss.

The Stun Lancer is 30 tiles away.
It sprints to your squad, incapacitates one soldier, nearly killing them in the process, and panics two others. Both panicked soldiers throw grenades at their own feet.

A Viper is 15 tiles away. Will it use its long-range grab or will it use its long-range poison AoE?
Trick question. There are two Vipers. They use both.

    Is there a sectoid anywhere?
    No?
Wrong. Your best soldier just got mind-controlled. The sectoid fled before you could kill it.

You actually made it back from an engagement. Nobody died and the worst damage anyone took was about 5 points of health.
Five of the six soldiers you brought are now shaken, reducing their willpower to 0.

This game isn't about strategizing a victory. It's about strategizing the most spectacular loss you can, because ♥♥♥♥ ain't gonna work out in your favor, even if the percentages seem to.
    10/10 would hang myself again

The game has many significant improvements over XCOM: Enemy Unknown, including.

    - A new Character Pool feature which lets you make characters from the main menu, which then can be used in your campaign.

    - You can now freely move around on the world map, it is now more than just a "scan button."

    - There are a lot more character customization options, you can now change the color of your weapon, name it, and many more new features.

    - XCOM 2 provides more of a challenge than XCOM: Enemy Unknown did.

    - The story is actually pretty good, (in comparison to XCOM: Enemy Unknown.)

    - The graphics are significantly better.

    - You can now customize your soldiers names and appearances in multiplayer.

    - XCOM 2 officially has mod support.

Overall, i would definitely recommend this game to anyone that enjoyed XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

There are a few day 1 issues going on with performance aswell as some quality of life bugs such as turns hanging on for a few seconds more then they should, but if your're willing to put up with that for a day or 2 you will be treated to one of the most compelling and deep turn based strategy game we've gotten in a good long while and its only set to get better thanks to a HUGE commitment to mod support by the developer. 10/12 would bang agien (however if you dident like EU / EW and preferd the orignal Xcom games then this game isent for you either)

EDIT: a day or 2 is starting to look like a week before we get anything more then a "we are looking into it" so yea. not changing the recommendation however if you despise frame drops and dealing with bugs then id hold off, i'll update this review as needed

XCOM 2 - Digital Deluxe Edition The XCOM 2 Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full base game, XCOM 2 Reinforcement Pack, and the digital soundtrackAbout the GameXCOM 2 is the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the 2012 award-winning strategy game of the year. Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces. XCOM, the planet’s last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered. Now, in XCOM 2, the aliens rule Earth, building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.

Only those who live at the edges of the world have a margin of freedom. Here, a force gathers once again to stand up for humanity. Always on the run, and facing impossible odds, the remnant XCOM forces must find a way to ignite a global resistance, and eliminate the alien threat once and for all. XCOM ON THE RUN: Take command of the Avenger, an alien supply craft converted to XCOM’s mobile headquarters. New open-ended gameplay lets you decide where to guide your strike team, how to grow popular support, and when to combat enemy counter-operations.

TACTICAL GUERRILLA COMBAT: New gameplay systems offer more tactical flexibility in combat. Use concealment to ambush enemy patrols. Loot enemies for precious gear and artifacts. Rescue VIPs and save fallen comrades by carrying them to the extraction point.

A NEW BREED OF ENEMY: A diverse cast of enemies from powerful new alien species to the ADVENT, enforcers of the alien regime, offer a distinct tactical challenge. RESEARCH, DEVELOP AND UPGRADE: Configure and build rooms on the Avenger to give XCOM new capabilities on the battlefield. Use your Scientists and Engineers to research, develop and upgrade weapons and armor to fit your preferred tactics. EACH MISSION IS A UNIQUE CHALLENGE: Go on missions around the world, from wildlands to the heart of the alien-controlled megacities, to the depths of alien installations. There are virtually infinite combinations of maps, missions and goals.
